So… What Is an Anti-Bullying Program, Really?
Hey there — my name is Lisha, and my company runs an anti-bullying program.
What does that actually mean?
I’m glad you asked.
Have you ever found yourself thinking, “What is his problem?” or “Why did she react like that?” when someone responds more sharply than you expected?
Here’s what that often tells me:
their emotions got away from them.
Why? Because the things that happen to us as children and young adults don’t just disappear — they stay with us. Unprocessed emotions can grow quietly until one day they show up in ways we don’t recognize, even in ourselves.
Our program is designed to help young people — and adults — learn how to identify, name, and understand their emotions before they become adults who feel disconnected from them.
We do this through storytelling.
We visit schools, daycares, businesses — anywhere we can — to share the story of Cocoa, a gentle character created to help children connect with the very real experience of bullying in a safe, approachable way.
Our goal isn’t perfection.
It’s emotional awareness, empathy, and wholeness.
Visit our website and take a look around.
You just might find yourself wanting to join us in our fight for emotional Cocoa.
